Keep the System Simple
- Ingredient prep, component prep, and full-meal prep all count.
- The goal is food ready when the athlete is tired, not perfect containers.

Aspire Daily Fueling
Simple Sunday prep that keeps the whole training week fed without daily scramble mode.
Meal prep makes hard training weeks easier by turning a few basic groceries into ready-to-eat fuel.
Meal prep is a durability tool: it reduces friction and keeps athletes fed when the week gets hard.
Do this:
Try this week: Help with one Sunday batch, then notice which tired night it saved.
Not true: meal prep means seven perfect containers. One pot of rice and a tray of chicken counts.
Start with the food category. Tap a package for one recognizable brand example, then swap within the category for access, tolerance, culture, budget, and allergens.

| Job | Cook or Portion | Becomes |
|---|---|---|
| 1-2 grains | Rice, quinoa, or pasta, one big batch | Burrito bowls, lunches, dinner base |
| 2 proteins | Sheet-pan chicken, eggs, chickpeas | Bowls, wraps, egg muffins |
| Vegetables | Roast one tray, wash one bag | Sides that need no decision |
| Snacks | Trail mix, fruit, yogurt, overnight oats | Bag snacks for the whole week |

Glycogen refills across the whole evening, and a runner who has to cook after a hard practice usually eats less and later than the training asked for.
After school plus a workout, a tired brain defaults to the lowest-effort food; prep moves the decision to Sunday, when there is energy to make it.
Repeating a base with different sauces keeps the carbohydrate and protein steady across the week while the flavor changes, which is what keeps the plan alive past Wednesday.
When to use this
The Sunday before a heavy training week, when 60-90 minutes of prep decides whether the week is fueled or survived.

Family: Send the editable family message, share the handout, and keep the same next action visible in the family portal.
