Aspire Pre-Race Dinner
Dinner should top off glycogen and calm the gut, not turn into a reward meal.
A strong pre-race dinner is familiar, carb-forward, and low in grease and fiber. It matters because it sets up the morning, not because it performs magic on its own.
A boring pre-race dinner is the goal: familiar, carb-forward, easy to wake up from.
Do this:
Try this week: Eat your race-night dinner before one hard workout this week and see how the morning feels.
Not true: the night before is the night to feast. Big and greasy tonight is slow tomorrow.
Start with the food category. Tap a package for one recognizable brand example, then swap within the category for access, tolerance, culture, budget, and allergens.

A familiar carbohydrate dinner tops off liver and muscle glycogen overnight, so breakfast is a top-up instead of a rescue.
Fat, fiber, and spice slow stomach emptying and irritate the gut, which is how a big fried meal shows up as a heavy start or a bathroom stop mid-race.
Eating early enough to sleep well matters as much as the menu; a late, huge meal costs sleep, and sleep is part of tomorrow's fuel.
When to use this
The evening before a race, when dinner either sets up tomorrow morning or turns into a celebration meal a day early.
