What this can look like at the store
These are familiar examples, not a required shopping list. Use the food category to find an option that fits your athlete, budget, and allergy needs.
Brands are shown only as concrete examples, not endorsements. Ingredients, labels, and availability can change; check the current package for allergens and fit. Image sources and rights notice.

Four ready-to-adapt family messages for preseason access, early-meet routines, championship travel, and off-season recovery with privacy and medical boundaries.
Preseason
Open with the snack shelf and practice-bottle routine
- Subject: Two things to set up before our first full week.
- Ask for two packed snacks and a filled bottle each practice day.
Competition phase
Use separate notes for meet packing and late-season fatigue
- Meet note: name departure, breakfast, cooler, and ride-home food.
- Late-season note: name the tired pattern and one home routine.
Off-season
Use the off-season note for routines, not body-change goals
- Subject: Keep three training-day habits after the season.
- Point families to breakfast, a practice snack, and recovery food.
Context
Overview
Four specific, well-timed messages are more useful than an overloaded monthly sequence. Each template has one problem, three actions, and one next step.
Aspire does not schedule or send these messages. Copy a draft into your school-approved system, adapt the details, have the right staff review medical and emergency language, and send it under the coach or program’s name.
Before using the templates
Replace every bracketed field. Confirm:
- practice, meet, departure, and return details;
- water, refill, food, and cooler access;
- current school allergy and medical-plan procedures;
- the private contact for cost, culture, allergy, disability, and food-access needs;
- emergency and heat-policy language with athletic training or school health staff;
- who owns each next step.
Do not request body weight, body-composition data, food photos, calorie logs, urine checks, lab results, or menstrual information. Private medical care stays with families, clinicians, and authorized school health staff.
